Human Assembly is a textile gallery and brand established in Los Angeles with a partner atelier in Paris, specializing in garments, one-of-a-kind heritage rugs, and textiles.

Our process begins with design and pattern development at the atelier, followed by selecting fabrics from our archive of textiles which we have carefully collected, preserved, and developed to craft our collections.

We design with longevity in mind, focusing on thoughtful silhouettes, durable fabrics, and refined details that allow garments to improve with time and wear.

Our pieces represent a range of eras, spanning from the 19th to the 21st century and originating from various regions across the world, each reflecting its own craft and heritage.

Our aim is to cultivate a lasting connection with our roots and help ensure that artisan traditions continue to live on. We accomplish this by working with historic textiles, either preserved in their original form or thoughtfully repurposed, alongside fabrics developed using traditional techniques, allowing us to integrate a meaningful piece of history into our contemporary lives.
